Worldwide there is a trend towards alternative therapies. More and more people recognize that the mechanistic approach of the western medicine is not sufficient to explain the complexity of the human body, spirit and soul. So there is a bloom of all kinds of holistic therapies including homeopathy, acupuncture, reiki, yoga, meditation, craniosacral massage, osteopathy and more.
Also on Corfu, and especially in the town and in the north west corner of the island, near Arillas and Agios Stefanos there are many individuals who have moved to Corfu and are practising holistic forms of therapy and all sorts of massage. Many others try to “connect with their inner self” through art (music, dance, song, painting, wood carving, sculpture and many others).
It looks like the island of Corfu with its orgiastic nature can amplify the good vibrations!
