Arillas is a little beach front village in north-west Corfu. The beach is long and sandy and flanked by cliffs, offering a sense of privacy. In fact, there many naturists enjoying the sun and sea at the far ends of the beach. The surrounding countryside is full of ancient, shady olive groves and breathtaking views of the hills and the sun setting in the sea.
The atmosphere is very relaxed, for many reasons. First of all, criminality around here is extremely low. People leave their doors unlocked and the keys on the car. Greece in general is laid back, but Corfu and Arillas even more so. You can walk up and down the boulevard, enjoying the sunset and checking out the menus, before deciding where to sit today. The local businessmen are here to offer you their hospitality, not to disturb your holiday… The ancient Greek “filoxenia”, love of strangers, has been living on Corfu for thousands of years!
