Corfu Olivetum, organic olive oil
Corfu Olivetum is an organic farm with centuries-old olive trees. The brothers Dimitris and Vasilis Doukas, the owners, have been producing organic olive oil since 2005 from their own olive trees. The oil is pressed on the farm using the traditional cold-press method, it's bottled on the site and most of the olive oil produced is sold in exclusive delicatessen shops in Paris and Amsterdam!
The farm is open for visitors throughout the summer and beside a tour of the farm and the production facilities, you can actually see how olive oil is made by the traditional cold-press method. You can even make, bottle, and take home with you your own olive oil! There's also a little shop where you can buy olives, olive oil, wine and other local products.
