The location is magnificent, as Evdemon is on the edge of a cliff in Afionas, facing west over Gravia, Arillas bay and the Diapontia islands. Its terrace offers one of the best sunset views in the world!
A stunning view is nice of course, but the kitchen is what’s most important in a restaurant and that’s where Evdemon really stands out. The restaurant is not big, at full capacity it can accommodate maybe 50 people. Evdemon is run by Evangelia and Yiannis. Every morning Yiannis goes shopping, trying to get as many as possible ingredients fresh and organic. This can be meat, fish or vegetables. Herbs and some veggies are grown next to the restaurant! When he comes back with the spoils, they both sit down and write (by hand) the menu of the day! Everything you eat here is fresh, delicious and prepared with lots of love and care. Evangelia likes to experiment a lot with the local ingredients and creates unique dishes that could be classified as Mediterranean cuisine. They have a very decent selection of wines, including wines of the most energetic and innovative winery in Corfu, Nicoluzo Winery. And, whatever you do, make sure you leave some space available for dessert, This is Evangelia’s absolute specialty!
